As a result, Benson sustained no injuries and provided no signs of impairment. Further investigation revealed that Operator 1, Sierra Benson was traveling north on I-89 in the traveling lane and notice a deer to her right, start to cross her path while driving and couldn’t avoid the deer and ended up hitting it. Upon arrival, Troopers located the one vehicle at a position of uncontrolled rest facing north on the shoulder. On 07/24/23 at 1430, Troopers from the Vermont State Police – Williston Barracks responded to a single-motor vehicle crash located near I-89 N, MM 103 in the Town of Milton. Vermont State Police would like to remind motorists to drive carefully and drive the speed limit. Morristown EMS transported Putzier to Copley Hospital for suspected minor injuries. Putzier’s vehicle obtained minor front end damage. Putzier lost control of his motorcycle before crashing in the roadway and coming to a uncontrolled position of rest in the westbound lane. Investigation revealed Putzier was traveling westbound on Vermont Route 12 as he was going over a crest going downhill. On the above listed date and time, the Vermont State Police responded to a motorcycle crash on Vermont Route 12 in the Town of Eden.

RANK/TROOPER FULL NAME: Trooper Armin Nukic Vermont State Police was assisted at the scene by the Manchester Police Department and Wallingford Fire/Rescue. Investigation revealed Geist was traveling northbound on North Main St (US RT 7) when he dozed off and drifted left of center, ultimately travel off the southbound shoulder, into the trees. The Vermont State Police would also like to remind drivers that upon approach a crash/traffic stop it is required by Law to slow down and move over. On 7/30/23 at approximately 1430 hours, Troopers responded to a single motor vehicle crash on I89 N at mile marker 72 in the Town of Bolton.


The incident caused traffic delays in the area for about 30 minutes. Green Mountain Power responded to the scene and to replace the pole. A vehicle parked near the utility pole was also damaged after being hit by the sheared off pole.

For reasons still under investigation, at the intersection of Church St. Investigation revealed that prior to crashing, vehicle #1 was traveling WB on Rt.
